@hsbauer I heard my first Red-winged BB today as well here in NYC. Signs of Spring even though we now have over a foot of snow...
I can't wait for Spring in the NYC area! I'm looking forward to seeing those beautiful warblers again.

New birds added to the NY State checklist: Pink-footed Goose, Western Reef-Heron, Cassin’s Kingbird, Scott’s Oriole, Yellow’ Wagtail
Hopefully going to get a chance to get to Cape May to see the Ivory Gull this week (if it sticks around!)
Big discussion on the NYState list about the dead Loon carcas and laws about picking them up. Apparently you can't pick them up w/o permits!
