just got home from school. :) Saw a 2nd winter Herring Gull today at school, a refreshing change from the usual Black-Headed variety.
Had a great day birding :) very icy! I fell spectacularly, lol. Will be posting photos etc on blog later.
Common Starling at Manchester, Greater Manchester My first bird of the year, in a flock of around 20. :-)
Hopefully going birding on Sunday, fingers crossed! I haven't been birding for months and I really need to get back in the swing of it.

Common Linnet at Llandudno, Conwy On the Great Orme holding on to a single thistle in 25 mph winds, bless it.
Western Osprey at Porthmadog, Gwynedd Yesterday at the Glaslyn Osprey Project. I saw 5! The mother, father and all three chicks! Amazing.
Northern Wheatear at Wales, Conwy Seen at Conway RSPB. Very happy as this is a new species for me! :D
